I was lucky enough to grow up surrounded by a wide variety of furry friends from a very early age and this fostered a love for animals that has never left me. My pets included guinea pigs, chickens, budgies, cats and a lovely little dog called Splonge!

I went on to study at Onderstepoort in South Africa and qualified in 1996. Along the way I also managed to achieve grade eight in piano. I arrived in the UK shortly after finishing university and I have been working in small animal practice ever since. For the last twelve years I have been working in a busy practice in Surrey, taking time out to have two lovely little daughters.

During my time working in a busy, high pressure practice I began to realise that for many owners and pets a visit to the vets is a very stressful and difficult experience. Sometimes this can even begin to affect the care that the pet is getting. Gradually I realised that if the stress and hassle of getting to the vets could be eliminated, both owners and pets would be better off. With this in mind I decided to start Surrey Home Vet which is a mobile vet Surrey service, with the aim of bringing the highest level of veterinary care to the pets of Surrey in the familiar, comforting environment of their own homes.

In addition to a long standing love of dogs I have always had an interest in all things feline and I was awarded the European Certificate in Feline Medicine in 2007. I also enjoy advanced dentistry, geriatric medicine and delicate soft tissue surgeries.

When not working or looking after two happy, busy little girls, I like to relax by playing the piano and exploring the Surrey Hills. I also do a bit of amateur photography and my pets and children frequently get pressed into being long suffering models!
